Mail Infrastructure

Deliverability & Abuse Policy

What our mail infrastructure does, why you might see it in your logs, and how to reach a human about it.

What this infrastructure is

VideoMarketingBlast operates an in-house email verification system used to check whether an address is likely to accept mail before we or our clients send a marketing campaign to it. If you run a mail server and see a connection from our infrastructure, it was almost certainly a single SMTP session that issued an EHLO, a MAIL FROM, a RCPT TO for one address, and then QUIT — no message content is ever transmitted (no DATA command).

What it is not

Our sending identity

HELO/EHLO hostname: probe-01.mail.videomarketingblast.com
Envelope sender: probe@mail.videomarketingblast.com
Source IP: 104.128.64.178 (reverse DNS matches the HELO name above)

Rate limits and retries

We probe at a deliberately low rate per destination domain. If your server returns a 4xx greylisting response, we treat that as "try again later" — never as a negative result — and retry on a 15 minute / 1 hour / 4 hour backoff schedule.

Report a problem or ask us to stop

Email abuse@videomarketingblast.com or postmaster@videomarketingblast.com with the domain or IP in question. Both addresses are monitored by a person, not a ticket queue that nobody reads. We will acknowledge abuse reports and stop probing any domain on request.

Acceptable use

We comply with our upstream infrastructure provider's Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy, and we expect the same of any client campaign this infrastructure supports: truthful headers, a working opt-out mechanism, and no misrepresentation of the message's point of origin, consistent with the CAN-SPAM Act and California's Business & Professions Code §17529.5.
